  Use numerous slideshows in various posts, but this morning have noticed that none are working and the message of:

  This slideshow requires JavaScript.

  What is the problem and how is it overcome?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  We are not allowed to add Javascript on WordPress.com for security reasons. So any widgets that need Javascript and other code does not work because WordPress.com strips them.

  Puzzled as I am using the wordpress.com gallery and its default slideshow no 3rd party widget is used.

  This has been working for previous slideshows used in various posts at fcafa.wordpress.com for the last 3 years. So why is this message for javascript appearing now?

  Ah, I get it now.

  Can you check if Javascript is enabled in your browser? You should be able to Google the instructions on how to check if Javascript is enabled/disabled in your browser.

  Well without making any changes to my mac or pc or any of the browsers I have installed on both, the slideshows are now working! So am even more puzzled as I see someone else on this forum also had the same issue this morning.

  Cool, it may be a temporary glitch with slideshows.
