"This website does not supply identity information." How do I fix this?

Several months ago, I changed the URL of my blog from boyntonpoetrycontest.wordpress.com to thepoetrydepartment.wordpress.com. Although I am able to post and people seem to be able to see the posts, the URL now has a warning symbol (a triangle with an exclamation point) and the words “This website does not supply identity information.” As a side note, I had the URL in my email signature and my emails were bouncing because of it. Is there some way to correct this? I am NOT a tech person. Thanks so much.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I double checked on this and the second part of the warning message is the piece that’s really in play:

The connection to this website is not fully secure because it contains unencrypted elements (such as images)

This warning started appearing when your WordPress.com site was encrypted. From that point forward, your URL started with https: rather than http: You can read more about why that encryption is beneficial here:

    https://en.support.wordpress.com/https/

The warning is telling you that part of your site is secure, but that some elements of your site are still being served over regular, unencrypted web pages (http:). In this case the cause of the warning is your Facebook badge.

While the warning makes it look like something is really wrong, in this case it’s nothing to worry about. It just means that part of your site has made the transition to encryption, and part of it hasn’t. If you see a warning like that on a site that is asking for credit card information, or the like, then you would need to be concerned.

As a side note, I had the URL in my email signature and my emails were bouncing because of it.

I’m not sure why this would happen. How did you determine the URL in your signature was causing the e-mail to bounce?

Thanks very much…”nothing to worry about” is the kind of problem I appreciate.
So, the Facebook badge is part of the Sharing option. Is everything Facebook unencrypted — so using the badge means I get the warning? Or is there a way to make it more secure?
I may be wrong about the URL causing bounces, but once I took it out of my signature, my emails starting going through to the people who were not getting them. (Did a few tests.)
    Again, thanks.

Facebook itself is secure, they just haven’t started sending images like your badge to connected websites over secure connections yet. There isn’t anything for you to do about this right now. It might help you sleep better to know that the issue here is that the image is being sent the same way it always has, it’s the rest of your website that got an upgrade. So it’s not like that one image is really a security risk. It’s behaving the way your whole website did before we made the transition to https.

As for the e-mail, in order to investigate further, I’d need a copy of one of the problematic e-mails. You can’t send that to me in this forum, but if you want to pursue it let me know and we can move to private e-mail correspondence.

Thanks so much for your clear explanation. Since email seems to be getting through, I’ll pause here. Thanks again.
