It sounds like your daughter ordered a product from an online store that uses the WooCommerce plugin to run their site. Regrettably, we have no access to this site or its order information, nor do we have any control over their operations.The WooCommerce plugin is free and open-source. This means that anyone, anywhere in the world, can download it and use it to set up an eCommerce site without needing to contact us or ask for our permission. In this scenario, we’re kind of like Microsoft. When someone creates a document in Microsoft Word, Microsoft (the company) doesn’t have access to that document nor do they have control over it.
If you’re wanting to report the site, here’s what I would suggest:
- Go to http://whois.domaintools.com/, put the website address in there, and you will be able to find information concerning the person that registered the domain name, where the domain name was registered, and where the site is being hosted.
- If you do the same thing with https://www.whoishostingthis.com/, you should find a bit more information about who is hosting the site.
- You can then contact either the domain name registrar or the hosting company as these are the companies that they have financial relationships with. These companies also control access to the site’s hosting account as well as their domain name. You can also opt to have your lawyers reach out on your behalf.
It appears that the domain is hosted with Go Daddy and the site is hosted with Namecheap.
