    Hi there,
    My domain; thorpecontracts.com is currently in redemption and I would like to renew it. However, I am not sure how to do this as I can’t see it on my purchases etc; despite my email address being set as the default contact. Can you help with this please?

    Hello there,

    That’s a big one once your domain expires, it can be unavailable for up to 90 days. Once it goes back on the market, anyone can register it.

    So if its on a redemption period depending on the type of domain and when it was registered you might be able to redeem it yourself. If your domain has that option it will still appear under your account Purchases after it enters redemption thats the link :

    I see this thread has been tagged for staff assistance. As your domain is in the redemption period you’ll want to check out the last link provided by @thelmachido. Are you currently logged in to the correct account that is associated with that domain?

    Your domain thorpecontracts.com expired on August 30. We sent several email warnings both before and shortly after it expired to the email address on the account which owns the domain (which is not the account you’re currently logged into).

    Domain expiration is a lengthy and complicated process that takes about 90 days. You can learn more about expired domains here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

    The good news is that we are still able to recover your domain, as it is currently in the Redemption period: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/#redemption-period

    A late renewal fee of $80 will be added to the regular price of renewal. This fee is charged by our domain partner and is not one which we can waive. That’s in addition to your annual domain renewal from us, so the total is going to be $98.

    I have sent a payment request for the total of $98 to the email address on the account which owns the domain (which is not the account you’re currently logged into). Once the payment is received, we will send a note to our domain partner regarding thorpecontracts.com. This process only takes about 2-3 days start to finish.

    Thanks MacManx, I can’t see the payment request. I think the issue is with the account which owns it, is it @thorpecontracts?

    Yes, the request was sent to the email address on that account, since that is the account which owns the domain.
