threads being closed

I have seen a lot of threads and I have been part of them asking questions about a political statement wordpress decided to force on us. I have seen the responses saying that the forum is not the place to discuss this, but there is also no place to contact a human that works there readily available. Someone posted an email address for support and I sent an email yesterday and never received a response. If we can’t contact support, and we can’t discuss it here, where are we supposed to discuss it and with whom?

Support staff answers email in the order it is received. We do our best to keep pace. But sometimes things get ahead of us.

I am sure you received a lot of email from yesterday, and I appreciate that, however, you did upset a large portion of your customers. I think I would have put a statement out and a way that customers can fix the problem without forcing a thought on them. but again, the questions is, where are we allowed to discuss such issues if not in the forum?

So when I asked how long the political statement banner would be up? It is the Staffs policy to just close the thread? I didn’t used any vulgarity or hate speech. I merely asked for a timeline, and stated my that my constitutional rights.

I understand the concern. But as has been stated, this is not the place for that debate. Hence the closing of threads.
