three columns on Suburbia theme
-
My theme is Suburbia. It is a 3-column theme. I have set it to show two blog posts at any one time. But my two most recent blog posts are only ever squished into two thirds of the space with the other third remaining completely empty. I don’t know what to do to change it..
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
While you can set the Suburbia theme to show as many or as few posts on the main page, the width of those posts will always be the same. Therefore, if you choose to show fewer than three posts they will not take up the full width which you currently have set.

Hello there! Thanks for your response.
But, if you look at the summary of the theme in the bit where you look at all the themes and also in the ‘About Suburbia’ bit, you will see that the width is shown to cover the whole space even just showing two posts. So then if what you’re saying is correct, that summary is very misleading.

See here: it ha two fully filled columns on the top of the page: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/suburbia/

Oh, that’s making use of a different feature of Suburbia, the Featured post! I apologize, I didn’t realize that’s what you were speaking about.
From Suburbia’s Theme page:
Featured Post
With Suburbia, you can enlarge and feature your most important posts by marking them as Sticky posts.
Making posts sticky are very easy, but you really want to make sure that you only set a couple of posts sticky at a time and as you add more, you “unstick” the ones which you don’t need on the front page, as too many sticky posts can cause issues with your site! Here’s a help page on making sticky posts:

I hope this works for you!

Not at all! I should have figured it out the first time around. Glad you got it working like you wanted, though!
Have a great rest of your week! :)
