How do I control the thumbnail that Facebook picks?
-
When sharing a blog post with my Facebook page, even if the post has pictures, it will not allow me to choose a thumbnail other than the “W”. Avatar is set up. Header is customized with logo. Theme: basic maths.

Unfortunately, the thumbnail is selected by Facebook on a set of criteria that seems to change frequently. There’s nothing that we can do to control it.

Thank you for the answer macmanx! Actually, it’s rather frustrating. It doesn’t happen to all posts, apparently only those which have been updated. In the specific post about photography, it has a slideshow. It is the pics who are are the main reason for the post and it’d be nice to have at least one of them as thumbnail when sharing with Facebook, otherwise people will not click on it. And I thought that having a premium theme would at least allow me to choose the logo on the header…

Unfortunately, it’s always a big mystery as to how Facebook operates. I wish I knew myself.
As for the logo, you can add your own, and it looks like you have.
