  How to insert a thumbnail without placing a featured image? My theme is Balasana

  Hi there,

  Where on the site would you like a thumbnail to display? I assume this is for a post, correct?

  The site at http://ysajournalsatnightsometimes.wordpress.com/ appears to only contain the demo content it was created with. If you’re speaking of another site, can you also please confirm the URL?

  Yes for a post, I’m using the site for practice, the post I’m working on is https://ysajournalsatnightsometimes.wordpress.com/2021/04/09/lorem-ipsum/ I want to add a thumbnail so I placed the feature image and I don’t know how to make it not appear on the post itself. I hope this makes sense. Do I have to input an HTML or CSS to make the featured image not appear on the post and just act as a thumbnail?

  Thanks for the details! Your theme, unfortunately, does not give you the option to hide the featured image on single posts (you can choose to show it or not on pages, though).

  To control that, you’d need some custom CSS code which is available on plans Premium and above:
