HTML code can be written and added to your Text editor while you’re creating/modifying a new Post or Page.
This is content-related HTML, rather than theme-related.

i want thumbnails for my blog, in wordpress.org the code can be added easily… but yeah
i would like the images, once clicked to link to posts in my blog
i just found a theme with thumbnails, then found out that most of my blog is missing, is there a way you can let me upload a larger file?

if you look at old archives, the pictures aren’t there

by the way, my xml file is about 2.5 meg, is there anyway we can get that done? wordpress.com is my fave place to blog, and i don’t want to have to move to some annoying place :(

i just noticed your 15 meg limit, i wonder what is wrong… i’m going to try uploading my xml again

i just tried to reupload my xml file, assuming that the uploader would be smart enuff not to make duplicate posts, now my blog is all messed up… i don’t know what to do

ok, i uploaded it to a new blog too, and even tho alot of the posts seem to be there, the theme can’t find the thumbnail because it’s underneath everything, instead of underneath just the title

Hi Elaine,
Let’s break your issues down one at a time. It seems to me that the main issue we should attack is your upload of the XML file. We should make sure that is loaded properly into your WordPress.com site, before we move forward with any formatting.
You are correct, there should be no duplicate posts when when you import the file.
Which site name would you prefer to use? Can you delete all the posts from that site, so we can re-import your XML file into an empty blog? If you open Posts → All Posts in your site’s Dashboard, you can find the Bulk Actions feature, as seen here:
Once those are deleted, please send me your XML file (I’ve sent you a private email, please reply with the XML file attached), so I can take a look at it. I’ll confirm whether the file is in good condition, and can help with your import into WordPress.com afterward.

my site got hacked and i don’t have a good xml file right now, and they say they have no backups at squarespace, so i might have just lost 9 years of work… but as soon as i find out if i can recover, i will be in contact with you! thank you for the email :)
