Thumbnail for images in posts as screen option in Posts page

When I list my posts in the “All Posts” page it is very useful to have the excerpt view to help remember the contents of each post. I would love to see as an additional screen option for that page the option to show a thumbnail of images associated with each post. I am writing an adaptation of Ulysses in blog form with daily posts and I am linking backward and forward between posts whenever Joyce makes allusions to events that have (or will have) happened. The more posts I have the harder it is becoming to find what I’m looking for. Are thumbnails for the all posts page something possible to do?
