Thumbnail image on Facebook

  Hey,
  I have been trying to share my latest blog post on Facebook but each time I do it, a wrong image from the middle of the post is chosen. I would like the top image of the post to appear as a thumbnail image (which normally should be the one FB pick up?) when sharing but it does not. I have tried to add it as a featured image and use the link scarper but nothing helps. Could you please advice what to do in such case or how could I make FB select the top image as a thumbnail? Thank you so much.
