Thumbnail not displaying on Facebook when posting page from blog

Hello. Very frustrating that suddenly when posting links from my blog to Facebook no thumbnails are displayed. There are plenty of images on each page but when linking to FB the thumbnail appears blank and white without. The arrowed thumbnail selector is also not functional. This has not been the case in the past. I tried the FB debugger but without results. My blog is http://jssitaly.wordpress.com. Please help as we are about to announce a major registartion drive, images are key to our PR and we need to have thunbnails display properly. Many thanks, IH

Hi there – Which specific page(s) are you not seeing a thumbnail for? I tried out a couple, and they showed thumbnails. However, your main URL http://jssitaly.wordpress.com/ does not have an image associated with it. To fix this, you can upload a blog picture/icon here:

Thank you Eurello. I uploaded and image and not seeing anything yet when posting on FB. What I don’t understand is why I’m not seeing a selection of possible thumbnails to choose from on the main URL page as in the other pages. It used to do it just fine once… Many thanks again…

Hi there – I’m seeing a choice of eight thumbnails when I share your main URL on Facebook now.
Facebook has made some changes on their end recently, and unfortunately, we don’t have control over which image they show.
They should show an image in the post itself, or your blavatar or gravatar. You can try setting a featured image for each post; ideally, Facebook should look for a featured image before it looks for anything else, but again, sometimes it doesn’t:

This is very starve. Just tried posting my blogs main URL again and again came up blank. Ran it through the debugger and the debugger did find the image logo I uploaded in the preferences link you suggested. My questin is why it doesn’t offer the other plentiful images on that page for thumbnails as well? Thank yo for your time…

Hi there – When you share your blog’s root URL, http://jssitaly.wordpress.com/ , it will typically display your blavatar.
When you share an individual post or page URL, such as http://jssitaly.wordpress.com/an-artistic-immersion-of-a-lifetime-2/master-class/ , it will show an image in that post or page.
I don’t know why it was previously displaying a page image when you shared the root URL. It isn’t intended to.
