Hi there!
There isn’t a built-in way to add thumbnail pictures to the listing of your previous posts. As a workaround, you could include the image you wish to appear in a custom excerpt for each of your posts. This would require familiarity of how to add an image with HTML. We have a guide on this here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/beginning-html/#images-in-htmlLet me know if this helps! I’ll be more than happy to help answer any questions that come up from this.

I just looked at the post and I’m not clear on a couple of levels. Where do I insert that block of text so that it will appear as a thumbnail on my home page next to its post in the listing of previous posts.
What about using short codes in my CSS? Is that a possibility?

Hi Natalie.
Sorry for not being clearer! Custom excerpts can be created for each individual post, and we have a support guide that further explains them here:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/The content entered into a custom excerpt is what will display under the ‘PREVIOUS ARTICLES’ section of your site. So, if you enter an image there, that will also get pulled in.
An alternative option for you could be to use the Display Posts short code within a text widget on your site. You can find more about this short code and how it work in this support guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/Let me know if you have any extra questions on either of those options!

I totally got it now! Thank you.
Not sure if this is the only way, but I edited my photo to a thumbnail size then imported it into my media, and then inserted the url into the code. I would love to have it centered, so if anyone knows how to do that let me know. Otherwise, maybe I can just play with the size of the image to make it take up more horizontal space. -
Perfect! I can see the image you added now. :)
You can further change the look of the content there with some custom CSS. I can see you’ve previously added some CSS to change certain parts of your site’s design.
To add custom CSS for aligning your image to the centre, firstly go to My Site in WordPress.com then choose the option to Customize In the left sidebar. You’ll reach what’s known as the WordPress.com Customizer:
https://wordpress.com/customize/mysourcelife.comClick on the CSS tab within the Customizer and, below the introductory text in the resulting editor, copy and paste the following CSS snippet:
#more-posts-inner article img { margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; display: block; }For future customisations, you might be interested in our dedicated CSS forums. We have a wonderful community of CSS helpers here who assist in these types of questions:
