Thumbnail VS Featured Image
-
Setting up posts with thumbnails of the women I’m interviewing. When they’re uploaded as a featured image, they look awesome on the parent page, but on the child page // the page they’re actually featured on, they’re stretched. If I use a file that is the correct size so it fits as a featured image on the child page, it doesn’t fit on the parent page.
TL:DR Is there a way to have a featured image, and a thumbnail which are different images? (WordPress.com not .org)

The short answer is no, that’s not possible, since you can only add one featured image per page in any WordPress site.
With some CSS, you’d be able to hide the featured image on child pages, and insert a different image in the body of the page.
Custom CSS is available with the Premium or Business plans.
Or perhaps there’s a different theme that might work better for your needs.
