Thumbnails category webpage

I want to have a page on my website that has thumbnails like here http://laurdiy.com/category/diy/
I will have different pictures as thumbnails as when someone clicks on them, they will be taken to the URL which I have hyperlinked.
I am not sure how to do this. I tried earlier to add a table but I am not good with HTML so I am not sure what to do! Please help!The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
