Thumbnails for Post Slider

  I have no CSS experience. Is there a way I can change which part of the featured image is selected as a thumbnail? If I could get the thumbnails to start from the left edge of the photo instead of the center that would be awesome. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  I’m afraid that is controlled by the theme and the underlying PHP code in WordPress and not using CSS.
