Thumbnails not working well

  Hi, I am trying to put up thumbnails on my page, but I find it tough to upload pic properly on the editor page when I click image as ‘thumbnail’. It’s tough to see the cursor and sometimes things jumbled up. Currently they are uploaded as a continuous row – can’t get them to work properly on separate rows. When previewed or published, clicking on some images will make some run to the next line. The caption also turned up funny with uneven pic width. I read on the forrum some really old threads (some years back) which were resolved, saying that you need some plug in or play with the html. Is there an easier, dummy-proof way to do up this seemingly simple step?
