Thumbnails on Open Graph interface (like Facebook's)
-
I’ve just spent the WHOLE day trying to make some image appear when I share my blog posts on facebook, but there is not ANY help on this in place that I tryied searching.
I use wordpress.com, NOT wordpress.org. And I tryied featured images already, but they just don’t show up on facebook.

Ah, important thing. When I use facebook debugger, I see that the url they receive already sets the image as blank. That is, the problem is NOT facebook, it is wordpress.

The URL linked to your username here produces this:
xn--lanandoaovento-ijb.wordpress.com doesn’t exist -
We need the URL for the exact site you are referring to. Are you referring to http://lançandoaovento.wordpress.com?
If you are referring to any wordpress.COM hosted blog know that we have no control over the images that Twitter, Facebook or any other social networks chooses to display or when they choose to flush their image caches. We really only send them the URL of the post, and they hunt through that for the excerpt and images to include.

Re: Facebook
Sometimes these help and sometimes they don’t
http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug -
All right! I’m sorry, the problem really was facebook cache. Even the debugging tool bases itself on the cache, except if you choose the “fetch new information” option. Thanks.

You’re welcome and please fix that URL that your username account is linked to. Go to https://wordpress.com/me/account and enter the correct WordPress.com blog URL under Web Address and then click save account settings.

Hi, I have this same problem – https://oldestvocation.wordpress.com/2015/11/08/finding-claudia-jones/ should display the Featured Image – the picture of the post’s main subject), and not (randomly) the second cartoon. I have tried the “Fetch” command twice, nothing is working. And no way to add or edit Meta Properties in the free version of WP.
