thumbs ‘n stuff

  • Unknown's avatar

Hellow, I’m new and I have a small issue..
I want to upload an illustration in my blog.

but I want the thumb as wide as the layout (420px)
then it must be clickable to view the fullview in a new screen.
problem is that I only get the really small thumbnails,
if I make them bigger there not clickable anymore……

    hope someone can help me!

    thanks

Don’t use the thumbnail. Upload it like a regular picture, and just set the size using the Image icon (the tree-shaped one). Link to file.

I’ve done that, but now the image isn’t clickable to view fullsize in a new screen…

It has to be 420px wide on the blog and clickable to view fullsize (1000px)

It’s already uploaded, so click on Edit and grab the URL. Then, make the entire image on the blog a link to the URL of the file itself. That will be clickable to full size. I don’t understand why “link to file” wouldn’t be.

I don’t get it… sorry for my poor english *shame*

I have it on the blog as is has to be, just not clickable (you’ve probably seen it)
so what’s next.. I edit the post and then what..

    sorry, thanks in advance

Edit the post. Go to Browse in the Upload box below the edit box, and you can see the image, right? Click on Edit in the upload box and then you can copy the whole URL of that image. Then you go back up to edit the post: click on the image to select it, then hit the chain link icon to make the image a link. Put the URL of the image in the pop-up box and hit Update. Then your whole image should be clickable. I do this all the time, only I link my pictures to the websites I got them from.

It’s working now, at first the chain icon wasn’t working.. I was unable to press it.
all the sudden it worked so i slammed the link in and tadaaa…

    thanks for you’re help mate!
