TicketTailor.com integration
-
Hi, our site is for an upcoming event and we are selling tickets via tickettailor.com. Their site offers a sales widget that can be embedded directly on a website. I copied the html embed code and pasted into the “text” tab of a page. When I update the page the code reverts to just some hyperlinked text … doesn’t stay the way it was when I pasted it.
Tickettailor.com offers a wordpress plugin but it’s not available to me since I’m using wordpress.com. Here is the code I’m trying to paste:
<!-- Ticket Tailor Widget. Paste this in to your website where you want the widget to appear. Do no change the code or the widget may not work properly. --> <div class="tt-widget"><div class="tt-widget-fallback"><p><a href="//www.tickettailor.com/new-order/16598/6c96/ref/website_widget/" target="_blank">Click here to buy tickets</a><br /><small><a href="http://www.tickettailor.com?rf=wdg" class="tt-widget-powered">Sell tickets online with Ticket Tailor</a></small></p></div><script src="https://dc161a0a89fedd6639c9-03787a0970cd749432e2a6d3b34c55df.ssl.cf3.rackcdn.com/tt-widget.js" data-url="//www.tickettailor.com/new-order/16598/6c96/ref/website_widget/" data-type="inline" data-inline-minimal="false" data-inline-bg-fill="true"></script></div> <!-- End of Ticket Tailor Widget -->The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And here is what the code reverts to when I save it:
<!-- Ticket Tailor Widget. Paste this in to your website where you want the widget to appear. Do no change the code or the widget may not work properly. --> <div class="tt-widget"> <div class="tt-widget-fallback"> <a href="http://www.tickettailor.com/new-order/16598/6c96/ref/website_widget/" target="_blank">Click here to buy tickets</a> <small><a class="tt-widget-powered" href="http://www.tickettailor.com?rf=wdg">Sell tickets online with Ticket Tailor</a></small> </div> </div> <!-- End of Ticket Tailor Widget --> -
script code is not allowed – security & reliability
do they have a way to set up a page on their site you can link to?
-
HUGE BUMMER! I had no idea the widget code wasn’t going to work or I would have set up the website a different system.
I can definitely link over to their site. But it’s so much better to have it right on our site.
They do offer a wordpress plugin… but I can’t install plugins with wordpress.com (i’m a very avid user of .org). Is there a known workaround to that?
-
There is no way to install Plugin’s on WordPress.COM unless you have a VIP account, but that starts around $ 20,000 / year – then Plugin’s need to be vetted – so add around $ 5,000 per Plugin for vetting – so not a valid option for you
You can post a suggestion in the Ideas section to add support for that site – but they only add support for very very popular sites (YouTube for example)
sorry I don’t have better news – yes the off site link is not so popular
