Tiled gallery not working

  Hi there,

  I’m having problems with tiled galleries on my blog. They seem to work fine on the various pages on my site, but just won’t stick on the blogroll.

  Can anyone enlighten me? Just a warning — I’m very much a dummy when it comes to using any kind of code. I’ve looked through previous forum posts but most of the advice has gone completely over my head! All I’ve tried so far is clicking ‘Tiles Mosaics’ and ‘Square Tiles’ in the gallery settings (I want tiled mosaics). It works at first but as soon as I close the page the gallery reverts back to ugly little thumbnail images.

  What do your mean by “won’t stick on the blogroll”?

  Blogrolls are where you enter the links to related sites that you recommend that your readers visit. You create a blogroll and enter the links into it in your dashboard Links section and display them in a Links widget.

  An image gallery will display a set of thumbnail images attached to a particular post or page. When clicked, gallery images are displayed in a full-size carousel view, or you can choose the slideshow option to have them move forward automatically. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/

  @marleenaforward there are two things at work on your blog. You’ve selected to use the Gallery post format when publishing “Thingyan 2013 in Mandalay, Myanmar” and with the theme you are using, “Manifest” this post format type will create thumbnail images on the front/index page of your blog. When you click the post title to read the full post, then the tiled gallery is displayed in the full blog post.

  Hello.. I am cryinforthedyin.wordpress.com. Today when creating my post I was creating the slideshow that is on my 5.25.13. Though commands took.. this was not indicated in the editor.. fortunately the ‘preview post’ gave a true pic.. to delete the enormous amount of pics and slides I posted.. I had to download all pics from this post and again upload them.. though the commands were not indicated as was the case before.. this time.. I checked the ‘preview’.. I suspect this is just an editing ‘glitch’.. just today.. Peace Tony
