Tiled mosaic galleries
-
Hi, the first time I did a gallery it looked like this http://ardechewalks.wordpress.com/2013/02/14/snow-at-les-sarziers/ and it was great.
Now I can’t seem to get picture sizes larger than this http://ardechewalks.wordpress.com/2013/04/24/where-in-the-world/ (I mean the mosaic, not the first row of three thumbnails)I have tried juggling with the number of pictures/columns etc but I can’t get back the great effect of the first gallery. What am I not getting?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

While not an exactly scientific answer, the number and orientation of the images seems to determine how the images are displayed in the tiled mosaic.
In your first gallery, Les Sarziers, you have 7 images: 2 portrait and 5 landscape.
In the second gallery, Where in The World, you have 6 images: 4 portrait and 2 landscape.
If you want more control over how your Gallery images display, you can use the default thumbnail grid, but that won’t give you the tiled mosaic. See here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/gallery/
Regardless, if you have the Photo Carousel enabled your visitors will see a larger image regardless of how you display them in the Gallery.

Yes that does make sense and thank you so much for taking the time to reply to what is a no doubt a very basic question! Cheers!
