till when will adding widget via java script code be not allowed.

Hi I was trying to ad a bing webmaster widget,” the knowledge widget” but after reading the post in :
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-you-add-new-widgets?replies=14
I came to know that it isn’t supported for malicious reasons. Then why is that blogger allows it? doesn’t it run millions of blog on the same software? And why is that WordPress has a limited number of widgets.
Please don’t mistake me, I love WordPress and blogging here has always been a pleasure but these are just questions to which i am trying to find answer to.
Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Blogger blogs are all free standing blogs. Our blogs are not free standing blogs. They are all one the same multiuser blogging platform and share a common architecture that increases security rises. See here for a full explanation Why javascript is a security risk because most people who complain about this don’t even know how JavaScript operates and that one bad script can bring down many blogs on any multiuser blogging platform.

Thanks for the reply also, is there a reason for lesser number of widgets, I mean Automattic can by default provide a much wider range of widgets right? which might help a blogger a little more.

You can use any pure HTML widget.
