Time and Dates are on the fritz. Default settings.

How do you use the UTC time? The day is currently Sep. 1st and WordPress says it’s the second, plus, it says the time is around twelve am. Obviously this is not the case, and I can’t figure out how to set things right. Any helpful ideas?

I don’t know, but I have the same problem. I thought that perhaps it was because my blog was about our stay in the U.K. (Britain), so the blog was on GMT. As a matter of fact, I came to the forum to see if anyone else had this issue.

Hopefully someone can help us, because support is on vacation until Sept. 7.

Not so long ago, wp.com changed stats days and times according to UTC time. Midnight in London (standard time) was when the date changed.

But now, from your dashboard, you can go to settings -> general settings -> and set your timezone. Your time and stats will work according to your local timezone.

You make it work with UTC minus (symbol) however many hours; check if you guessed correctly by looking at the time indicated on that same line. If that time is not your time, then readjust.

    Remember to save the changes.

Also notice that the times in this forum remain on UTC time. People all over the world use wordpress, so the time in the forums here is the same as airline pilots who fly worldwide use. UTC.

Thanks so much! I changed it to my time zone, but my stats are still seperating numbers into two days, Sep. 1st and 2nd–I’m still on the 1st, myself. Is this one of the exceptions you mentioned?

Hmm. I don’t think so. We can hope some one else can explain further.

I don’t remember when it changed a few months ago if it too effect immediately or not.
