I dont want the TIME of day to show when I post something. How do I remove the time? And please tell me what does UTC mean?

How do I remove the time stamp (date) on my posts. I am using the cubic theme and would not like to have the date show on my posts. Thank you!

My students wrote me that their blogs written today (9/19) are only showing up as having been written tomorrow (9/20) … which is why though I am subscribed to get notice of each post by email, I did not get them today!
