Time to import from Blogger?

  Hello there, I’m trying to import a Blogger xml file into my wordpress blog. The xml file is just under 8.5mb. I uploaded it last night using wordpress’s import tool and it said that this would be processed. Does anyone know how long this ‘processing’ takes? I thought it hadn’t worked so uploaded the xml again this morning. Does this mean I’ll get double copies of my posts? Advice welcome.
