Time zone not updating on posts

I changed my timezone to be EST (New York), but that change doesn’t apply to the posts already there. Does it only take effect for future posts?

The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General

*Replace the NAME_OF_BLOG with the actual name of your site.
Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.
If you have created sticky posts read this support doc and edit them https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#go-back-and-edit-posts to remove that designation https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
If you have published posts previously you can edit them. https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/#go-back-and-edit-posts
