Time Zone Optioon Unavailable

  I cannot access the option to change the default time zone on either a desktop or mobile device. I have an entire class of 36 students using WordPress for a blogging assignment … and none of them change find a way to change the default either.

  Please advice.

  The default timezone is UTC time. You can confirm or reset your timezone here > Dashboard > Settings > General. There you select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu and then click “save changes”.

  Note this URL:

  Your students will have to replace the NAME_OF_BLOGwith the actual name of their own blog in the URL to navigate to the correct page.

  P.S. I have been here a long time (nearly 10 years) and I strongly believe that you and your students will benefit from studying the URL structure. It’s logical and I use it to get to where I want to go.

  Ok, you sent me a link to the classic site. I believe I have seen that is part of the issue. The new version does not have time zone under general settings.

  General Settings in the Dashboard does not have a time zone option.

  Is there a way to revert back to Classical permanently?

  The Admin login link to the dashboard for every blog hosted by wordpress.COM is:

  http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

  * You and your students will have to replace “name_of_blog” with your actual blog’s name in that URL.

  You cannot deactivate the new Beep Beep Boop editor but you do not have to use it.   On the dashboard of your own blog at
  Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

  To create posts in the classic editor for you that link is:

  On the dashboard of your own blog at
  Dashboard > Posts > All Posts one can hover over any post title and click the Edit link. and proceed with editing.
