Timeout Error
-
I can’t access my blog to write any new blog posts. About 90% of the times I try to access it, I get a ‘Timeout Request Error’ – I really need to figure out how to fix this so I can keep up with my blogging schedule!
Can you help me?

Hello, 408 Timeout request errors are typically a symptom of a slow or sporadic internet connection. Could you please try accessing your site from a mobile device or a device not currently connected to your internet? You will then want to troubleshoot your internet connection with your service provider I.e. Comcast/TimeWarner/Verizon etc.
Please tell me if you have any trouble connecting via a mobile device.

I haven’t had issues with my internet other than trying to access my blog. I work online a lot (I have a photography business). I tried to access my WordPress Dashboard on my mobile device and it says “Cannot Verify Server Identity.” I can access the actual blog most of the time, but not the backend. Thank you for you help.

Also, I’m sorry, the blog I need help with is http://www.laurenjollyphotography.com/blog NOT http://www.laurenjollyphotography.wordpress.com

Hi,
http://www.laurenjollyphotography.com/blog is a self-host WordPress installation hosted on Bluehost, you would need to contact them directly for support, see here: https://www.bluehost.com/contact
Make sure you know the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. Sites that are managed by WordPress.com are considered ‘hosted’ while sites managed by a different host are considered ‘self-hosted.’
WordPress.com support is limited to only sites on WordPress.com If you are having issues with your self-hosted site, then you will need to contact the host who manages your site. You can find this information with a simple WHOIS search: https://whois.icann.org/en
For a bit more information, please check out: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Hi @laurenjollyphotography, I’ve confirmed too that this other site is hosted elsewhere. If Bluehost isn’t able to help, you may be able to find support in the self hosted forums instead: https://wordpress.org/support
Cheers! And thank you, jjchrisdiehl :)
