Timing/Scheduling of Posts Not Working

  • Unknown's avatar

I keep scheduling my posts, assuming that the time I am putting in will be the time the post gets published, but to my constant surprise and annoyance (now bordering on anger) the posts have a mind of their own and simply go out whenever they want.

For example, my last post was scheduled for 6 something AM PST on Friday morning and it went out at 10 something PM on Saturday. WTF? I need to be able to rely on WordPress and I can’t.

Is there something I’m missing? Am I on China time or something?!?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The default timezone is UTC time. You can reset your timezone here > Settings > General Select the closest city to you in the same timezone in the drop-down menu you see there and then click “save changes”.

Scheduled posts do not actually publish until the first visitor to the site after the scheduled date and time clicks into the site and triggers publication. http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/schedule-a-post/
