TinyMCE Plugin

    I asked the host of our writer’s group to add TinyMCE Advanced (Plugin) from Setting menu so we can have additional formatting. But here is her question.

    Q: Are you sure this works on free sites? I do not see anything in settings to allows me to download a plugin. I also found an article that says TinyMCE does not work on later versions of wordpress. https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-tinymce/ This might be for the website versions of wordpress. We are using free blog. The free blog has option for different fonts etc, but you have to pay an extra annual fee, so it is not likely this is for the free blogs.

    My question is – Is this true or can we access more formatting for free and I need specific steps to how?

    You are not able to install plugins on a WordPress.com site. If you want to use plugins, you must be using a self-hosted WordPress.org site.
