tinymce remove align and add a class

    Hy! since 2.1 we all have this nice new tinymce version, most things are way better, but one GIANT things drives me crazy:

    what do i have to change to let my clients choose the image behaviour class=”right” etc. for the align=”right” thingie in the tinymce editor? – without doing it manually in the code!

    You think you’re being driven crazy? You should see it from our end. We put up a big huge sticky, big topic that says Please Read Me First before Posting, explain the differences between the two wordpress sites and software packages, and we still get folks hosted elsewhere and running different software coming in here instead of going to the correct site: http://wordpress.org/support

    :)

    Regards,

    I think since you’re running your own WordPress software you need to be at the WordPress.org forum; we’re running different software here at the WP-hosted WordPress.com site.

    @DrMike – Not sure about the options for the forum software but maybe you can change that post title to bold and red. Might stand out more. Worth a shot? :)

    {tee hee} Anything is worth a shot.

    The best idea I heard so far was Cornell’s.
    He suggested that there be a checkbox above the posting box that said:
    ___I have read the sticky posts at the head of the forum;
    ___I have searched the FAQs blog;
    ___I have searched the forum search box;
    ___ And I have confirmed that no threads currently posted on the forum address my issue, prior to making the following post: …

    I like those ideas also. I’ll add to my idea and say we make it not only bold and red, but also blinking like a cheap roadside diner’s neon sign…
    “Eat @ DrMike’s Steakhouse” ;)

    If folks can’t see a sticky labeled “Please read me first…” what makes you think they’ll see that?

    We’ve had folks comment that they’ve landed here via Google searches as well. There’s not a whole lot that you can do with that.

    *shrug* Half the time, I just answer the question and point them in the right direction. I didn’t have a clue as to this question though without digging through the TinyMCE code and, since it’s encoding as a signed Javascript, it would not be fun.
