Tips for increasing readership of my blog

  Sorry this is another dumb novice question.

  I’m not familiar with social media apart from my personal facebook page, but I’m interested in how I can increase the number of people who might see the content on my new blog. Re facebook – should I set up a specific facebook page for the blog, or should I just use my own personal facebook page to promote the blog?

  Also, does anyone have any tips for other ways to promote the blog / broaden the readership.

  Any tips would be most gratefully received. Thanks!
