tips for posting over dialup?

    We’re taking a long trip soon and will be posting daily over dialup. Any tips?

    I see that my post’s pictures are displayed at 500 pix wide. So I imagine downrezing pics to that before uploading is a good idea. Any difference between the flash and browser uploaders over dialup?

    Turn off image loading in my browser?
    Avoid my home page — go straight to New Post and check the single post result?

    Does the visual editor work well over dialup?

    Any suggested free posting clients for MAC? How are those better than cut-n-paste from an editor?
    Because you can do the image placement too?

    Anything else?

    It’s basically a very slimmed down version of your dashboard.
