Tips to use the Filter to search for a Term?

    Hello everyone,

I might be asking a question with an obvious solution, but could anyone share some tips on how to use the Filter so that it returns strings with only the Term I am looking for?

For example, I am looking up the Current only translations of the Term “feedback”, but it returns me a bunch of irrelevant strings.

This is rather inconvenient, because sometimes, all I want to do is lookup how a word or expression has been translated in the past, and in cases like “feedback”, there’s a bit too much fluff to sift through. :

    Put this in Google:

GlotPress search term matches the file path.
This is somewhat of a hack, but you could try:

    • “feedback ” (with a trailing space)
    • ” feedback” (preceding space)
    • “feedback.”
    • “feedback,”

    to avoid file path match.
You may also want to try using the “Sort” feature, probably sorting strings alphabetically by the “Original string”.

Anyway, I agree it shouldn’t be this hard to find what you are looking for. I created a feature request for the translation platform:

Thanks for your feedback (no pun intended!) :)

    Lol XD
Thanks Naoko, for the explanation and filing a feature request for it. I was always so puzzled about the results I was getting, so it’s good to have that mystery solved.
I’ll be looking forward for a patch! ^^
