Title and tagline appearance [already changed general settings]
-
Hello,
I’m having trouble getting the title and tagline I want appearing in search engines and Facebook shares. When I set up my blog, which right now focuses on promoting an event, I used a “mystery” tagline, knowing that I could change it anytime in general settings when it was time for the mystery to be unveiled. So I did… and the old tagline and title (which was also changed) still appear in search engines. Both appear fine on the browser’s tab, but the older texts appear in searches and FB shares. Where do I find this older texts? Where does Google, FB, etc. go get this, so I can change it to what I already confgured in the general settings?
This is quite annoying because the old tagline simply makes no sense anymore, due to the communication plan set up for this event. Thanks in advance for any help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no guarantee that Google or Bing or any search engine will display a Tagline at all. There is no guarantee that they will promptly replace an old one with a new one either. There is a character limit and it includes the site title and spaces spaces and what I have learned is found here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2009/06/22/creating-an-effective-blog-tagline/ Note the third bullet at the top of the post.

P.S. Please be ware that all search engine issues are between the blogger and the search engine > http://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/

Thanks a lot for your insight! I wasn’t aware of how long it takes for search engines to revisit websites. I thought this would be an issue of where the info was being fetched from WordPress, and thus that I could change it somewhere. This seems to explain the problem. ;)
