It seems this is how the Pique theme displays on smaller screens, as the tag line also disappears in the Pique demo site as well when resizing a PC web browser screen to emulate a tablet: https://piquedemo.wordpress.com/
I’ve tagged this for Staff attention and assistance but it would be good to know the screen resolution of the device you are using.

@supernovia – good morning. :) As the change to Baskerville seems to have solved the initial problem for the OP, is there any advice for those using or will use Pique that still want to have their tag line appear on smaller screens?

@justjennifer the theme authors opted to hide the title and tagline for mobile.
Depending on the site, I’d recommend either:
– putting the title and tagline in the logo itself, and opting not to display the title/tagline text on the site
– Use some CSS to force it to display. Something like this would work, but may need refinement:
.site-title, .site-description { display: block !important; }I hope that helps :)

@supernovia – Thanks! While I might disagree that a resolution of 1024×600 is “mobile” (that’s the resolution on my netbook) it’s good to know that one can force the title and tagline to display with an upgrade or by adding it to the logo instead.

You bet, @justjennifer. If it looks funny, it may need a few adjustments, but I’d need a live site to test it on. I did verify though that this displays the logo on my test site.
