after previewing a bunch of themes, now the title (Boodles) doesn’t display in “My Blogs’–rather the address (boodlz.wordpress.com). Kept my theme Zoren, and title displays ok on dashboard. In settings the title field was blank

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there. Please go to Settings ->General on your dashboard and make sure there’s a title entered there. I don’t see a title in the header of your blog, only your custom header image, so that could be the problem.

If you don’t want the title displayed (seeing as your header image also includes the title) you can hide it under Appearance ->Headings, but it must be entered under your General Settings.

Thanks for your response. When I first noticed the situation, I did check in the settings as you said, and the title field was blank. I put the title in its field & saved, but it later it would be blank again, then again.
I gave it a rest for a while and somehow this resolved itself just in the last hour. A mystery. .

  • It could be that the WordPress cache just needed to update your new settings. I’m glad it’s working now.
