  Is it possible to make the title of a post a link to an external page?

  Not with what we have here at wp.com. You can do it with regular wordpress though. Too easy for spammers to abuse.

  Regular wordpress is software that can be downloaded free of charge from http://wordpress.org and used on a self hosted blog on your own server or you can hire a webhost.

  The software here is wordpress multi-user wp-MU and all blogs here are hosted by wordpress.com. We are not allowed advertising and our blogs here cannot be used to drive traffic to third party sites.
