title for ront page 3 bar menu icon

  Hi I’ve been searching around quite a bit for this and have opened every menu… One of the folk that I asked to test my site has said that when they used their mobile they had trouble finding the initial menu. What she meant was that she didn’t realise that the 3 bars icon was the menu and I guess that many of my potential visitors will have the same trouble.
  Is there a way within my present set up to add the word “menu” to the icon, beside, above, below, it doesn’t matter?
  Just to clarify, this is a custom menu which I have created, called it LH sidebar menu and it appears on screen from a pc on the left hand side. When viewing on a pc, it doesn’t look like 3 bars, but a list of text which are links.
