title not appearing for link only posts

When I create a post consisting of only a link using the dashboard the underlinedd title does not appear even though it is in the title field above and within the link title field. This did not happen when I used the ”quick page’ which no longer seems to exist. By looking at the html of my older posts I noticed that the title appears a second time after > and before . I can do this manually to correct the problem but it’s a pain… What am I doing wrong originally?

Hi docogg,
This is the way your theme formats posts with the link Post Format.
If you want the title to appear you could change the Post Format to standard.

If you create new posts on the dashboard of your own blog at http://docogg.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php every post will be in the standard post format unless you change it.
