Title of LINK widget now unchangeable??

  • Unknown's avatar

When I originally set up the BLOGpost, the LINK WIDGET was flexible enough to CHANGE the TITLE. I titled it “LINKS.” It was working fine.
Now, all of a sudden, it is ‘BLOGROLL” and there is nowhere I can find to change it to ‘LINKS.’ My links are not blogs and I am creating a journal with mostly website links and references. I think “blogroll” is inappropriate. WHY has the LINK WIDGET ‘title’ now become unchangeable? I liked it the way it was, in case we didn’t want the widget entitled “Blogroll”. Am I missing something? Please help!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The links widget, as far as I know has not allowed changing of the title for a very long time. The title will automatically reflect the name of the category you have your links under. If you want it to be “links” then go to links > links category and edit the “blogroll” category name and change it to “links” and then make sure all of your links are set to that category and that category only.

It didn’t work for me. If I do that nothing at all shows up. Is there something I’m doing wrong with the category or is there something else I can try?

I have no idea what you did.

    1. Go to your dashboard to links > categories
    2. Either rename the default “blogroll” category to what you wish or create a new category with the name you want
    3. If you create a new category then you have to edit the individual links, unassign whatever category was assigned to them and reassign the new category name.
