Title pictures display same size regardless of screen size

Hi, I have photos in my title block and they are set to display ‘full width’ but they just display the same size on every screen. What’s the deal? It’s not so bad on desktop but on mobile I’m just seeing a vertical slice from the middle. The rest of the site (text) displays fine and the text wraps depending on screen size. It just the photos that look bad.

Hi there,

On what site are you working? The only site in your account is https://northeastrider.wordpress.com/, which hasn’t been updated since 2012, and which uses the retired Greyzed theme

I saw “you cannot reply to this topic.” Funny, because just a few minutes ago I tried to reply from my other account (northeastrider) and got the same error. So I made a new account. And got the same error. Now I’m on the new account on a different IP. Has my IP been banned from the forums? WordPress is so opaque. No way to contact anyone directly. Only the forums, which I’m having trouble accessing, with no notification why.

Anyway, if that can’t be figured out, can someone please tell me why my pictures aren’t scaling properly?

I don’t see any pictures added to any of the posts on https://futuristicmadlibs.wordpress.com/.

It’s right there on that page you linked (the front page) as well as the “local” and “global” pages. Try viewing it in different size screens (eg a phone vs laptop) and you will see the pictures at the top of each page are being cropped horizontally.

Ah yes, that is how this theme operates, it was the choice of the theme’s designer.

Currently there is no way to change that here.
