Title Tags in WordPress

I understand that title tags are critical to getting better search engine results. Is there a way to control my title tags in WordPress? If not, are my title tags by default set to match my page and post titles?

Can we have a link to your wordpress.COM blog? And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forums.

I’m sorry. I didn’t include the link because I had gone private with it for a few days to fix this and a few other problems. I’ve opened it up temporarily, and it’s at http://sexistremarks.wordpress.com/

Thanks for the link. Even if you keep it private, you may want to link it in your user name so that we know that you are hosted here. (We get a lot of questions from folks who aren’t.)

You don’t have any direct access to the title tags here. My understanding is that the search engines crawl the posts regularly but not the pages, so you have to link to the pages in your posts when you can. Further, I understand that the blogs here at wordpress.COM are already optimized for search engines.

    Ok, thanks a lot!

Also, due to tag/keyword abuse, as I understand it the search engines put far less emphasis on the keywords than they used to. Just make sure and use the appropriate categories and tags on your posts and you should do just fine.
