Titles-only for search/tags, full posts on home page

Is it possible to have the following behavior?
From the home page, I’d like the entire contents of posts to be shown (without having to click a ‘read more’ link). It would show maybe 10 posts at a time.
However, more importantly, when someone uses search, clicks a tag, or clicks a category, I’d like only titles to appear. When entire (long) posts are shown in a search/tag/category results page, it is very hard to scroll to find the post you want. (Much like Google doesn’t show you entire pages in the search results, just URLs and a few lines of text.)
Is all of this possible with the same theme? I’ve been trying some new themes today and haven’t found anything yet that does all this.

Your theme does support post excerpts. Click on My Sites, then click the Customize button next to Themes. Then click on Content Options. You’ll see the Full Post and Post Excerpt options at the top.

Search and archive pages will also respect the Excerpt setting you can enable in the Customizer, so they’ll also show a short preview of the post like on the front page. It’s not possible to have search and archive pages show only the title, though. In most themes search and archive pages display posts in the same way as they are shown on the main posts page.

So, I asked for two things–your recommendation gives me one by sacrificing the other. :-)
I want: (A) Full posts on home page, AND (B) title (or excerpts) on search/tag/category results page.
Your change gave me (B), but then undid (A). Maybe you’re saying that what I want is impossible no matter which theme I pick?

You can have the home page show excerpts by manually adding the Read More tag to them, and then archive pages will show full posts if you have your site set that way. Or you can have both show excerpts by selecting the excerpt setting in your theme.
But it’s not possible the other way around. If you set the home page to show full posts, archive pages will behave the same way.
