TLS Security

Today, I cannot access any WordPress website (including my own sites) using Firefox, which is my preferred browser. I am currently accessing your site through IE. When I try to access this or any other site in WordPress through Firefox, I get a message telling me that the Secure Connection Failed:

An error occurred during a connection to xpatscot.wordpress.com. The OCSP response is not yet valid (contains a date in the future). (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_future_response)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the web site owners to inform them of this problem.

Can you help me with this problem. I have also referred it to the support group in Firefox.

    Thank you

    Hi!

The site is currently loading correctly for me in Firefox. Can you try clearing your cache and let me know if you still experience the issue? Cache instructions can be found here:

    Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for responding. I have cleared the cache as per instructions but still cannot load my own site (which is my home page) on this computer through Firefox. I can, however, access the same site on Firefox through another computer using the same modem. And I can access the same site using IE on both computers.

That’s odd – my inclination is to think that something on your Firefox setup is blocking the connection. Perhaps a browser extension or security setting is preventing this. Could you try resetting Firefox as described here?

    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-settings

This will remove the following items:

Extensions and themes, website permissions, modified preferences, added search engines, download history, DOM storage, security settings, download actions, plugin settings, toolbar customizations, user styles and social features will be removed.

    Hi Jeremey,

I refreshed Firefox as you suggested and that seems to have solved the problem.

Thank you so much for your support and good advice.

    Best regards,

    Keith
