To allow comments or not?
-
My blog is very new (1 week old) and only very few people have seen it so far. At first I left the comments section available and open, but after a few posts, and a few visits later, it just feels like they’re not worth keeping me around.
What do you think? Having this new blog, do you think it’s better to allow comments knowing that most likely I won’t get any? Or should I wait till down the road where hopefully my visitors increase in size?
Let me know what you think, I definitely would like to hear from some experienced bloggers out there.

There are several differences between websites and blogs and the most noteworthy is that blogs do allow discussion to take place. It takes around 4 – 6 months to attract a regular readership and only 1 out of every 100 readers leave comments. Leave your comments open and be patient. Also know these two things (1) you have to give to get so start commenting on similar blogs in your own blog’s niche (2) there is no such thing as passive blog promotion. “Build it and they will come” is not applicable to blogging.
