To buy an additional domain

    Dear Support,

    I have the domain http://www.stadtfuehrerwarschau.wordpress.com.

    I would like to buy a domain without ‘wordpress’. So I go to ‘Add Domain’, choose a name, BUT I can onlyupgrade this domain with premium for 99 Dollar.

    So what shall I do to just buy a new domain for 18 or 25 / year?

    Hi there, I’ve tagged this for Staff input.

    In the meantime, if you want to buy/map a custom domain, you will need to purchase one of the upgrade Plans to do so. There are currently 3 plans available, Personal, Premium and Business.

    The Personal Plan (least expensive) includes buy/map custom domain, no ads, upgraded support and you should be able to reach that via your site dashboard at https://wordpress.com/plans/ The price listed there is monthly, but the payment is a year in advance.
