To Custom CSS or not to Custom CSS

  Hey, gang.

  This is a quick one. Was just wondering if I would need to upgrade to Custom CSS to implement something like this with my site:

  http://www.javascriptkit.com/javatutors/random2.shtml

  Just wanted to check before I invest. Thanks!

  Or if you happen to know I way that I could create a link that would forward visitors to a random link within a given category on my page, that would be awesome. For example, make it so that one could go to http://whatthehellshouldiwatchonnetflix.com/step-2-movies/ and click on the Action category, then be forwarded to a random post that’s been categorized under Action. Does that make sense?

  I’m sorry, but that script will not work because do not allow certain tags on WordPress.com for security reasons including JavaScript, Flash, iframe, form, and input tags. These restrictions are in place to prevent any disruptions in service due to potentially malicious code.

  The answer is….sort of.

  If you add “?random” to the end of your WordPress.com site URL, you will be sent to a random post:

  http://whatthehellshouldiwatchonnetflix.com/?random

  However, it cannot be limited to a single category. It just pulls random posts across all categories.

  Very cool site, by the way. I’m going to have to bookmark it for later as it is distracting me from what I should be doing right now! Netflix can feel like a wasteland sometimes even though, in reality, there is so much to watch.
