  can not get rid of comment box below photo’s

  It isn’t overly obvious how to turn off comments on individual images, but it is definitely possible. You can disable comments for individual images by going to your Media Library, clicking on the image, click “edit more details” in the bottom right, and unchecking the “allow comments” box in the “discussion” section.

  If you aren’t seeing the “discussion” section, you have to open screen options and place a check in the “discussion” box.

  1. Open your Media Library.
  2. Click on an image to open the image window.
  3. Click on “Edit More Details” in the lower right.
  4. Click on Screen Options in the upper right.
  5. Place a check in the box to the left of “Discussion”
  6. Scroll down and find the “Discussion” section.
  7. Uncheck “Allow Comments”.
  8. Click “Update” in the top right side.
  9. Repeat for other images (except steps 4 & 5).
